LOL If you take most of this as srs bizns, and can't detect sarcasm, and can't laugh at yourself than it's obvious you are a retard.

Just felt like sharing my two cents today. About character hate/bashing, it amuses greatly the lengths some will go to hate a fictional character, especially when it's just down right sad when there's no reason for such haet D:<.

I've been used to having my fav characters hated on because of shipping, or some other whacked out reason.

Nothing made me smile or more annoyed when Ulquiorra's battle with Ichigo and Orihime's cries of 'Kurosaki-kun' was the hot topic of the Bleach fandom.

I don't think I've ever seen a character get this much hate before, oh Ulquiorra, you just had to unsuspectingly pine after the buxom auburn haired girl didn't you? That some parts of fandom were wishing for your death. LOL

And they are still hoping it stays that way too, but I'll laugh my ass off if Kubo brings him back in a chapter titled: 'The Rebirth'.

Well anyway, this particular topic is about Karui of Team Samui/Kirabi (Killerbee) from Naruto. By some unfounded miracle I just recently got back into the manga, reading bits here and there. Nothing really interested me until I read the few interactions of the cloud-nins.

I took to them for several reasons.

I was finally glad to see some characters shaded in various shades of brown instead of the usual pale reference for most anime characters.

At first I was a bit skeptical of them but they grew on me instantly, their personalities are interesting. This was also the first time to see a two female, one male team, and I only hope that Samui and Karui can show they are kick ass when it comes to fighting. (am sadly disappointed that the females with the exclusion of Temari and Tsunade, and Sakura are not very developed in this manga. Even then it's shady at best to even say this of the three I just mentioned. but i digress.)

Turns out the only reason I'm even reading this thing again is because Kishimoto is expanding the naruto world outside of Konoha, Team Baki/the sand sibs are back and the cloud-nin are awesome.

Which is why I don't get the unreasonable haet thrown at karui (okay so i sort of do but sheesh it's sad).

I understood why Ulquiorra was hated on: Kubo made him lust develop a strong interest in Orihime, who claimed she's madly insane for in love with Ichigo. It was also bad enough, that Orihime is also sought after Ishida kill the flaming gay who sews!! D:<

In short pairing wars and wank contributed to the majority of Ulquiorra hate because Ishida unfortunately got a good gist of the fan rage too.

But in the face of Karui hate I don't have the slightest clue. But I sure as hell can try to pinpoint some reasons as to why.

Pairing Wank: I don't visit any naruto forums in general but after doing so, the wank all around was just insanely off the charts!

Karui just came late into the game, shows no interest in Naruto (currently) and so far so good will not develop into an idiotic Sasuke fangirl. She's the first girl I know to outrightly hate the Sauce and I couldn't be more happier. >:D Automatic 100 plus points for her.

So I assume we can cross out pairing wars here for her since that couldn't be it. Or maybe it's because some fans are srsly bitter and find her a threat. Or are bitter because their perferred naruto girl isn't getting any memorable moments with Naruto after a confession or she's been reduced back to useless status to make naruto seem like the mature one *rollseyes*

For the record I don't give a damn for NaruSaku OR NaruHina. I think they're overdone really, cute in fanart, but overall it bores me to tears. I cannot stand SasuNaru either, but I bet anything that Kishimoto will make this manga end in subtexts that suggest this pairing. With NaruSaku coming in as a close 2nd.

Because srsly, no one can beat Naruto in being Sasuke's biggest fan. >_> Not even Karin, bitch needs to work harder on it.

But imho I think Kishimoto just needs to lay off the dull romance and drama he's trying to troll put on the fandom.  J.K. Rowling did a piss poor job (i have to make it known that I don't care for harry potter either but still the romance was poorly done), so why the hell are you even trying?

He's no Kubo Tite who does it surpringly well so far considering the genre he writes for.
And definitly not a Jane Austen, not that I read any of her works but I've been told she pulls it off rather well.
Zutarians and Ulquihimers can attest to this. XD

I think I know why she's hated on so much these days! :D

People quickly rooted for her because she made Sakura (not so surprisingly) cry over Sasuke and told her to shut her whore mouth up.

When she beat the shit out of Naruto, they were singing a whole different tune. Totally dismissing obvious facts that one: Naruto provoked her already rising anger with going: "I'll help you find your sensei and akatsuki" than to turn around and go "LOLNO! I'm too gay for Sasuke I won't sell him out!" (CLEARLY PISSING ME OFF BECAUSE I KNOW HE WANTED TO DAMN IT!! ARGH!).

two: Then to make his situation worse, he tells her...and I can't make this shit up even if I wanted to: "LOL U can hit me if it'll make you feel better because we have to stop this circle of hatred.

Karui kindly took him up on his offer, even though she knew and he knew and Omoi knew and SAI knew it wasn't going to do jackshit.

She was understandably angry. Hell I would have punched the hell out of naruto too and glad she did. He's still my favorite character no doubt, but that was pure idiocy on his part. HE made himself look bad, not Karui. (punches and broken jaw which was healed quick by the kyuubi not withstanding).

(A fact Karui knows all too well about since Naruto blurted it out that he's a jinnchuuriki too. I'm sure somewhere in the back of her angry mind she knows that Naruto can snap her neck if he so wished too, but when your that damn angry all reason just flows out of the window).

Plus his constant angst over sasuke it's getting a bit annoying, that he can't sink even lower. I'm just grateful that Kishimoto hasn't reduced him or Sakura to one NAME word sentences now.

I had enough Kurosaki-kuns to last me a life time I'm damn seriously when I say I don't want to see that shit happening in Naruto. D:<

I also find it funny that people are now calling her a 'black sakura'......Again I tell you I can't make this shit up.... I'm just like LOLWHUT!?

I won't lie, the first time she appeared I thought she would be too, and I deeply frowned because I don't want to dislike Karui. Sakura is okay now but I'll never get over her from Pre time-skip days. She's a just two degrees under being too much like Naru of love hina for me to really truly like her.

I've come to realize that Karui and Sakura are thankfully not the same. (but in the minds of her haters she is because she beat on poor defenseless naruto and even after him meeting the raikage she's being a bitch and the raikage is a dick for being mean to naruto! boo fucking hoo!)

If anything I'm more amused by the fact that Karui's personality similiarly mimics Naruto's more than anything, especially his attitude from part 1. She's not afraid to say what's on her mind, which can make her seem quite rude, very tomboyish (though for the life of me I really wish Kishi could draw his females more...accurately!  D:< ) she even seems to have a sweet side, and seems optimistic compared to Omoi, and very passionate about her cause. (gee sounds awfully like naruto LULZ)

Though unlike Naruto, she seems to get easily annoyed and irritable. (It could be that she tries to come off as being mature about things, as oppose to Omoi, even though she's shown she really isn't). Though in her defense, most of the hits she's ever landed on Omoi have been within reason. Omoi has always been seen to go out of his way to tease Karui or annoy her in some way, kind of like siblings or close relatives, even after the fact he knows that she will just hit him anyway. Her hits have been hard but nothing overly exaggerated and over the top as to what Sakura constantly does to Naruto over the most trivial of things. And Sakura just hits Naruto for the hell of it (because it's TRU LUV KAWAIIDESU!!!ONE11!! ) and Naruto doesn't do anything to her at all.

Though most of her comedic scenes have been done with Omoi, who she's known. She doesn't seem ready to beat on anyone else other than him. (which means I wouldn't be surprised at all if Kishimoto revealed to be related somehow).

and this is just me going out on a limb here, but for all her tough exterior, and seeming ready to pound the hell out of naruto, I honestly don't think she would have gone that far and probably would have left Naruto's idiot behind alone had HE NOT OPENED HIS BIG DAMN MOUTH AND CUT OFF WHATEVER THE HELL SAI WAS ABOUT TO SHARE with her and Omoi. She may get easily annoyed and she and Omoi may have started it all by attacking them first but that probably would have ended there had not the blond dummy didn't say LOL I'll help becuz I'm ninja jesus then go LOL NO I won't! (because he probably believed Sai was about to say something of value about Sasuke. *rollseyes* )

As far as her rude behavior and her mocking of naruto the following chapter. Well it can't be more obvious that one: she follows and believes in what her Kage is saying and therefore doesn't find naruto's pity party all that attractive. Hell she wasn't the only one! Even Omoi and the other nins walking with their Kage was like. "Dude are you fucking serious? You stopped us for this bullshit?" (but i guess being the spiteful bitch she is, people just took to her attitude because she was the MOST VOCAL lolololol).

Two: That could be a defense mechanism to show she doesn't care at all (when in fact she really does). Omoi pointed this out by asking her was she worried about Naruto and she was mighty quick to say no, all the while looking annoyed. Considering where she's grew up and the small look into how the cloud nins think with all their Kage is. It's pretty telling that they been taught to some degree to not let emotions overrule their judgments as ninja to toughen them up. (though we can plainly see that omoi and Karui are easily ruled by their emotions...just like Naruto and sakura.) If anyone is maturely sound with their emotions it's Samui.

All in all there's not much to go on Karui's character considering what Kishimoto does with her in the end. (I'm just hoping she doesn't become damn fodder for sasuke). This could all have been a complete waste of time in writing and Karui can turn out being an actual bitch that'll make me hate her. But from what I've seen so far I don't think that's the case.
 
If anything, I see her character coming around for Naruto like every other person who's ever confronted him. (Sasuke not withstanding). Hell she may turn out being more mellow and less outspoken then she let's on in the face of the public. (no i'm not kidding myself with this one, this is kishimoto all his female characters seem to fit in one or two archetypes and never out growing them.) But it is more likely that he may attribute a sound reasoning (LOL is kishi even reasonable?) for the way Karui behaves. But honestly, I don't see that happening either, but he may if he ever focuses on Naruto helping team cloud find Killerbee (who's chilling like a villian somewhere making crappy rap/enka songs and got his students and brother worried for nothing.) XD Karui will kill him when he they find him.

In short fandom is just fucking fickle.

Because the minute she starts cutting lines to get to be the one to glorify Naruto's peen, i.e.: admit how strong he is and how 'wrong' she was, they're start liking her again.

It means that idiotic fans can have their caek and make crack narukaru pr0nz out of it too.

But hate her or love her...

It sure as hell ain't stopping me from enjoying a new Naruto x Girl (not hinata or sakura) crack pairing.

I shamelessly ship NaruKaru like I do NaruIno, NaruTen, NaruTem, NaruKin, NaruShion, NaruAmaru.

and yet I know that not ANY of them will be made canon (two of the ones listed are filler girls and kin is dead LOL)...though Kishi can throw a fast one and canonized one of first four above mentioned to troll the fandom once more.

But you get the picture. LMAO

all this has done is just made me want to do a quick sketch job with a witty convo between two of my favorite most hated (by fandom not me) characters right now.

Thank god Soul Eater has strayed away from the madness for the time being.

Who knows if it will change once it's released here in the states or if Ohkubo does the ungodly thing and throw in a character that shows obvious interest in either Soul or Maka...let's pray it doesn't but if it does and wank starts I'll be there to lmao as usual.
